Resumen

Al momento de finalizar un procedimiento endoscópico debemos elaborar un informe de los hallazgos evidenciados. Sin embargo, el reporte que se genera, no es sólo para describir y nombrar lo encontrado durante la endoscopía. El informe endoscópico debe constituirse como una herramienta relevante que no sólo debe permitir mejorar la comunicación entre el personal médico, sino que gracias a un diagnóstico claro pueda respaldar una decisión médica posterior al procedimiento. Este objetivo se puede lograr mediante la sistematización de nuestros informes mediante el uso de clasificaciones y escalas validadas de forma rutinaria. Sin embargo, muchas veces el uso de estas suele ser complicado y no se suele hacer de formar habitual, principalmente entre los endoscopistas en formación. Por ese motivo, presentamos la siguiente revisión narrativa, con el objetivo de proporcionar al gastroenterólogo en formación las clasificaciones más importantes, explicadas de manera simple y con referencias actualizadas.
