Submission of manuscripts

All articles must be sent through the website of the Revista de Gastroenterologia del Perú.

Every author must first register on the page. Once registered, you can enter the Authors section, where you will find the following menus: Manuscript submission, Instructions for authors, Structure and types of articles, and Editorial management process.

The members of the Editorial Board are not responsible for the opinions expressed by the authors who contribute material to the Journal.

Accepted manuscripts become the permanent property of Revista de Gastroenterologia del Peru (Sociedad de Gastroenterologia del Peru) and may not be reproduced by any means, in whole or in part, without the written authorization of the Editor-in-chief.

All articles submitted to the Revista de Gastroenterologia del Perú must attach the Affidavit of Authorship which is available at Affidavit.pdf (revistagastroperu.com)

General considerations

  • Mandatory documents must strictly follow what is indicated in our “Instructions for Authors” section for each of them.
  • Make sure that the first section of the article text, called “Main Page,” is included in the file, otherwise the submission will not be accepted.
  • Submissions that do not attach the mandatory documentation will not be accepted; If so, the corresponding author will be informed that the manuscript was not received.
  • All authors must be registered in the OJS system when entering metadata during the submission process; these should be in the same order in which they appear in the manuscript.
  • Include the ORCID of each author (check if it is current) in the OJS system. If the system reports the following error message: “The ORCID you have specified is not valid”, this should be placed only on the first page of your article.
  • Check the status of your shipment through the OJS system by logging in with your username and password.
  • Each uploaded file must have a maximum size of 10 MB.
  • When registering the article, it will be assigned a unique identification code, which will be used throughout the editorial process.
  • The Affidavit must be properly completed and signed by the corresponding author. It is recommended that you read the document carefully before sending it through the system.

In the case of the publication of clinical trials, the author, in addition to the above, must attach the proof of registration of the clinical trial in the competent entity (in Peru, the Peruvian Registry of Clinical Trials, Instituto Nacional de Salud) and enter the number test identification.
